CAPPELLA ISTROPOLITANA

The chamber orchestra Cappella Istropolitana was founded in 1983. Its members share their pleasure of making music and their enthusiasm to play together in a small ensemble. Most of the musicians are well-known soloists. Famous conductors and interpreters work with the orchestra. Their way of playing is featured by great technical skill, a high level sound and enormous interpreting discipline as well as an extraordinary sensitive feeling for style.

SLOVAK SINFONIETTA

The Slovak Sinfonietta Žilina is one of the best known professional orchestras in Eastern Europe and holds a very important position in Slovak musical culture. It was founded in 1974 as the only „Classical period“ chamber orchestra in Slovakia. Since then the orchestra has attained a prominent position in both Slovak and Czech Republics, as well as developing a considerable international reputation.

Its 34 members are graduates of the major Czech and Slovak music academies, and many of them are winners of international competitions and active both as soloists and chamber musicians. The quality of the players, together with the experience and musicianship of the founding music director and conductor Eduard Fischer (1930-1993) brought about the quick artistic growth of the orchestra. The Sinfonietta has played in almost all the world’s great concert halls from St.Petersburg to Tokyo and altogether, the orchestra has given over 2700 concerts in European countries as well as Tunisia, Japan, Brasil, Armenia, Turkey, Canada and the U.S.A. The Slovak Sinfonietta is in reality, a small symphony orchestra with a very broad repertoire of baroque, classical, early romantic, as well as 20th an 21st century works. Mr. Oliver von Dohnanyi was appointed the Chief Conductor of the Slovak Sinfonietta Žilina in March 2011.

SOUTH CZECH PHILHARMONIC

Philharmonic Orchestra of South Bohemia was created in the year 1981 under its original name South Bohemian State Orchestra. At present it is the only professional philharmonic in South Bohemia.

The repertoire of the orchestra is mostly based on the interpretation of the music from the age of classicism. The dramaturgy of the concert seasons is however very varied and includes music from the baroque period until modern times. Increasingly often the philharmonic also includes into its concert plans even more extensive symphonic works and vocally instrumental pieces.

VIRTUOSI DI BUDAPEST

This special virtuoso ensemble has been founded in 2014 and led by excellent violinist Sandor Javorkai.
The ensemble has a special repertoire which consists of the masterworks of the famous composers as Paganini, Liszt, Brahms, Sarasate, Khachaturian, Dinicu, Monti and others.
The ensemble invites for the cooperation also some top musicians.
The first concert of Virtuosi di Budapest has been at the world known International music festival in Cesky Krumlov in summer of 2014. The ensemble prepares the concert tour in Czech Republic and Slovakia in 2015. The concerts in Asia are being negotiated.
Violinist Sándor Jávorkai played as a soloist with renowned orchestras such as Berlin Symphony, Dresden Philharmonic, Sinfonietta Baden, Savaria Symphony Orchestra, Budapest Philharmonic, Belgrad Philharmonic and many others.
Concert travels have led Jávorkai throughout Hungary, Italy, Spain, Germany, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Romania, Russia, Holland, Austria, Greece, England, Malta, Norway, Turkey, Japan, Colombia, Tunisia, Egypt and Israel. Sándor Jávorkai has performed at important concert halls such as the Vienna Konzerthaus, the Berlin Konzerthaus, the Luxembourg Philharmonic, the Sava-Centar in Belgrade, in the “Forbidden City” in Beijing, the Warsaw Philharmonic and Opera City in Tokyo. He has performed at the Schleswig-Holstein Music Festival, the Spring Festival in Budapest and at the Spring in Russia Festival in Moscow. Sándor Jávorkai performed to great success at a gala concert in the Vienna Konzerthaus with Roby Lakatos, Rolando Villazón, Julius Drake, Michel Camilo and other well-known musicians.
Sándor Jávorkai was awarded with the first prizes in numerous international competitions. He is also primarius of Mozarthaus Vienna String Quartet.
