Petr Nouzovský

Peter Nouzovský graduated at the Conservatory in Prague and the Music Academy of Performing Arts in Prague . He continued in his studies at the Dresden School of Music with Wolfgang Emanuel Schmidt. He completed his studies at the Royal Conservatory in Madrid. He has improved his art with more than ten world-renowned violoncellists in master courses all over the world. (Mstislav Rostropovich, Boris Pergamenschikov, David Geringas, Franz Helmerson …)

Already as a student of the Conservatory, he saw his first international success in the form of an invitation to the Piatigorsky Seminar in Los Angeles, where only ten cellists from around the world were invited. Following a great success there, he was again invited in 2006.

Thanks to a successful recital at the international music festival Prague Spring 2005 he is a frequent guest at the most prestigious festival (2007, 2009, 2010). He took part also in other festivals, for example the Kammermusik Festival in Bolzano, Kyoto International Music Festival and the Bratislava Music Festival. Peter is a sought-after solo player at home and abroad. His other international activities include frequent recitals in lot of countries of Europe and in Japan. Peter is also a popular chamber player. He records for the labels CUBE Bohemia, Multisonic, Albany Records and Radioservis. He collaborated also with Marta Kubišová and Rod Stewart. Peter is the founder and director of the South Bohemia Chamber Festival (since 2005). He plays the "Miroslav Komár 2008" and "Jean Baptiste Vuillaume 1835" cellos.
